Compassion is about owning your heart and not shutting down. How do we keep our hearts open when the world is so full of suffering without getting overwhelmed or burn-out? From a Shambhala perspective this is not by being a hero but by opening to oneself and resting in big mind, not holding on. This is a practice which we can practice every day even every moment of our life. Now is always a good time to practice.
